On 18 August 2011 the 3rd phase of the Designer Outlet Centre Roermond was opened. The 3rd phase consists of 35 shops and 2 restaurants. With a total of now 150 shops and 4 million visitors yearly the Designer Outlet Centre Roermond is the most successful outlet centre of McArthurGlen and the largest in West and North Europe.
The architecture of the 3rd phase is inspired by the historical architecture of the Maasland region. The application of materials from the region such as brick, limestone and colourful stucco, as well as the characteristic architecture with timber frame facades and the typical Maasland combination of brick and stone give the visitor the feel of a historic city centre. A convincing illusion!
